Description
Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these air fryer sliced potatoes are a quick and easy snack or side dish. With customizable seasonings and toppings, they provide a healthier alternative to deep-fried potato chips.
Ingredients
2 medium russet or Yukon gold potatoes
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika or Italian seasoning (optional)
Optional: grated Parmesan, fresh herbs, or dipping sauces
Instructions
- Wash and thinly slice the potatoes, about 1/8" thick. Use a mandoline for even slices.
- Soak the slices in cold water for 15–30 minutes to remove excess starch. Drain and pat dry with paper towels.
- Toss the potato slices with olive oil and seasonings (salt, garlic powder, and paprika/Italian seasoning) until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Arrange the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if necessary.
- Air fry for 10–15 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through. Adjust time for thickness.
- Serve hot with optional toppings like grated Parmesan, fresh herbs, or dipping sauces.
Notes
Experiment with seasonings like Italian seasoning, smoked paprika, or cayenne pepper for different flavors.
For cheese lovers, try adding grated Parmesan, cheddar, or mozzarella after air frying.
Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme can be added after cooking for extra flavor.
Perfect with dipping sauces such as sour cream, ranch, or ketchup.
For leftovers, store in an airtight container and reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes to restore crispiness.
