Description

A sweet and cozy twist on apple crisp, this Apple Crisp Pizza Dessert features cinnamon-spiced apples on a pizza crust topped with golden oat streusel and a vanilla glaze. Perfect for fall gatherings or a comforting treat any time.

Ingredients

1 prepared pizza crust (store-bought or homemade, about 1012 inches)

3 medium apples, peeled and thinly sliced

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup butter or coconut oil, softened

Optional glaze:

1/2 cup powdered sugar

12 tablespoons milk or dairy-free milk

1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place the prepared pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
  3. In a medium bowl, toss the sliced apples with sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Set aside.
  4. In another bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, and salt. Cut in the softened butter or coconut oil until crumbly.
  5. Spread the apple mixture over the crust, leaving a small border.
  6. Sprinkle the oat streusel evenly over the apples.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until apples are tender and topping is golden brown.
  8. While baking, whisk together glaze ingredients until smooth, if using.
  9. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, drizzle with glaze, and slice to serve warm.

Notes

Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp for the best texture.

Optional glaze can be made with maple syrup for a richer flavor.

Add chopped nuts to the streusel for extra crunch.

Make it gluten-free by using a gluten-free crust and oat flour.

Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat before serving.
