Ingredients
1 large apple, cored and chopped (peel on)
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt (or dairy-free yogurt)
1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk (or milk of choice)
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 tablespoon almond butter (or peanut butter)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1–2 teaspoons maple syrup or honey (optional, to taste)
1/2 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- Add the chopped apple, frozen banana, Greek yogurt, and almond milk to a high-speed blender.
- Add the rolled oats, almond butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
- Add maple syrup or honey if additional sweetness is desired.
- Add the ice cubes for a thicker texture.
- Blend on high for 45–60 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or spices if needed. Pour into a glass, sprinkle with cinnamon if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
For a dairy-free option, use plant-based yogurt.
Swap almond butter with peanut or cashew butter for a different flavor profile.
Add a scoop of vanilla protein powder for extra protein.
Freeze apple chunks instead of using ice for a thicker texture.
Store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and shake or re-blend before serving.
