Description

A fun and colorful twist on the classic banana split, these dessert kabobs layer fresh fruit, marshmallows, chocolate, and nuts for a festive and easy-to-make treat perfect for parties or quick desserts.

Ingredients

34 bananas, cut into thick slices

1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned)

1 cup strawberries, hulled

1 cup marshmallows (optional)

1 cup mini chocolate chips

1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, almonds, or pecans)

Whipped cream, for topping

Chocolate syrup or hot fudge sauce, for drizzling

Caramel sauce (optional)

Maraschino cherries, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Slice the bananas into thick, bite-sized pieces. Cut pineapple into chunks if fresh. Hull and halve strawberries.
  2. Thread banana slices, pineapple chunks, strawberries, and marshmallows (if using) onto skewers, alternating ingredients for a colorful pattern.
  3. Drizzle kabobs with chocolate syrup and caramel sauce (if using). Sprinkle mini chocolate chips and chopped nuts over the skewers.
  4. Top each kabob with whipped cream and garnish with a maraschino cherry.
  5. Serve as is or offer extra sauce and whipped cream on the side for dipping.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh to avoid browning and marshmallow stickiness.

Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours if needed.

For a vegan version, use dairy-free whipped cream, vegan chocolate chips, and replace syrups with maple or fruit syrups.

Customize with different fruits or add brownie, pound cake, or cookie pieces for texture.

Use toothpicks if skewers are not available.
