Description

A healthier twist on the iconic Big Mac, these wraps use lean beef, crisp lettuce, tangy pickles, cheese, and a creamy special sauce, all rolled into whole wheat tortillas for a lighter, easier-to-eat version of the classic burger.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef (or turkey)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4 cup diced onion

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Salt and pepper, to taste

4 large whole wheat tortillas

1 cup shredded lettuce

1/4 cup pickles, sliced

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup Thousand Island dressing (or Big Mac sauce)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat, then add diced onion and sauté for 2–3 minutes until softened.
  2. Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook for 6–8 minutes until browned and cooked through.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, then remove the skillet from the heat.
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for 10–15 seconds to make them pliable.
  5. Place a tortilla on a clean surface, spoon the beef mixture into the center, and top with lettuce, pickles, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, and a drizzle of dressing.
  6. Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly.
  7. Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
  8. Optional: Heat the wraps in a skillet for 1–2 minutes per side for extra crispiness.

Notes

Swap beef for turkey or chicken for a leaner option.

Use low-carb tortillas to reduce carbs.

Add tomatoes or jalapeños for extra flavor.

Substitute cheddar with pepper jack for spice.

Make a lighter sauce with Greek yogurt, ketchup, relish, and spices.

Store filling and toppings separately for meal prep to avoid sogginess.
