These adorable Bunny Butt Cookies are a delightful treat for Easter! Soft, buttery sugar cookies shaped like bunny butts, decorated with mini marshmallows as tails and white chocolate chips for paws, make this recipe a fun, hands-on activity for kids and adults alike. Perfect for Easter celebrations, they’re simple to make and guaranteed to bring smiles to everyone’s faces. The bunny-themed decorations are easy to assemble, adding a creative twist to your holiday baking.

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon almond extract (optional)

1/4 cup milk

1/4 cup white chocolate chips

1/4 cup mini marshmallows

Pink and white icing or edible food markers for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using) to the butter mixture. Beat until well combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, place mini marshmallows on the cookies for bunny tails and add two white chocolate chips for bunny paws.
  9. Use pink icing or edible food markers to create paw prints and any other decorations you'd like.

Notes

These cookies are a great hands-on project for the family, especially with kids who will love decorating the bunny butts.

You can substitute mini marshmallows with other candies like chocolate-covered marshmallows or marshmallow fluff for a different texture.

Try adding cocoa powder to the dough for a chocolate version of the bunny butt cookies.
