Description
Caprese skewers are a refreshing no-cook appetizer featuring cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and fresh basil, drizzled with balsamic glaze. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or quick snacks.
Ingredients
1 pint cherry tomatoes
1 pack fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)
1 bunch fresh basil leaves
Balsamic glaze (for drizzling)
Salt and pepper to taste
Toothpicks or small skewers
Instructions
- Rinse the cherry tomatoes and fresh basil leaves, then pat them dry.
 - Thread one cherry tomato, one mozzarella ball, and one basil leaf onto a toothpick or small skewer.
 - Repeat until all ingredients are used.
 - Arrange the skewers on a serving platter in a single layer.
 - Drizzle with balsamic glaze and season with salt and pepper just before serving.
 - Serve immediately while fresh.
 
Notes
Use heirloom cherry tomatoes for extra color and flavor.
Add a slice of prosciutto for a savory twist.
Swap balsamic glaze for pesto or lemon vinaigrette for a different flavor profile.
Store in the fridge for up to 24 hours without the glaze; add glaze just before serving.
Best enjoyed fresh and cold; not meant for reheating.
