Description

Caprese skewers are a refreshing no-cook appetizer featuring cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and fresh basil, drizzled with balsamic glaze. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or quick snacks.

Ingredients

1 pint cherry tomatoes

1 pack fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine)

1 bunch fresh basil leaves

Balsamic glaze (for drizzling)

Salt and pepper to taste

Toothpicks or small skewers

Instructions

  1. Rinse the cherry tomatoes and fresh basil leaves, then pat them dry.
  2. Thread one cherry tomato, one mozzarella ball, and one basil leaf onto a toothpick or small skewer.
  3. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
  4. Arrange the skewers on a serving platter in a single layer.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze and season with salt and pepper just before serving.
  6. Serve immediately while fresh.

Notes

Use heirloom cherry tomatoes for extra color and flavor.

Add a slice of prosciutto for a savory twist.

Swap balsamic glaze for pesto or lemon vinaigrette for a different flavor profile.

Store in the fridge for up to 24 hours without the glaze; add glaze just before serving.

Best enjoyed fresh and cold; not meant for reheating.
