Description

Caramelized pan-fried peaches with cinnamon sugar are a quick and cozy summer dessert made with fresh peaches cooked in a buttery, spiced sugar sauce. Perfect for serving with ice cream, yogurt, or pancakes.

Ingredients

4 fresh ripe peaches, halved and pitted

1 tablespoon unsalted butter (or vegan butter/coconut oil)

2 tablespoons brown sugar (adjust to taste)

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

¼ teaspoon ground ginger (optional)

A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Wash the peaches, cut them in half, and remove the pits.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  3. Add the brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger (if using), and salt. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and combined.
  4. Place the peach halves cut-side down in the skillet and cook for 5–7 minutes until golden and caramelized.
  5. Brush the tops of the peaches with the cinnamon-butter sauce while cooking.
  6. Flip the peaches gently and cook the other side for 2–3 more minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and serve warm, drizzling any remaining sauce over the top.

Notes

Use ripe but firm peaches for best results.

Try nectarines or plums as substitutes.

For a vegan option, use coconut oil or vegan butter.

Add vanilla extract or other spices like nutmeg for variation.

Top with nuts, yogurt, or ice cream for extra texture and flavor.
