Description

A Chicken Caesar Burger is a perfect fusion of two classic favorites: grilled chicken and a Caesar salad. This delicious burger combines juicy ground chicken patties, creamy Caesar dressing, crunchy romaine lettuce, and a generous sprinkle of parmesan, all nestled in a soft burger bun.

Ingredients

1 lb ground chicken

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

4 hamburger buns

1/2 cup Caesar dressing

1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped

1/4 cup additional grated parmesan cheese (for topping)

1 tablespoon olive oil (for grilling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or a skillet over medium heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, 1/4 cup parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.
  3. Shape the mixture into 4 even patties.
  4. Brush the grill or skillet with olive oil, then place the chicken patties on it. Grill or cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the patties are fully cooked.
  5. While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
  6. Once the patties are cooked, assemble the burgers by spreading Caesar dressing on the bottom half of each bun.
  7. Place a cooked chicken patty on top of the dressing, then top with chopped romaine lettuce and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
  8. Place the top bun on and serve immediately.

Notes

To make the Chicken Caesar Burger gluten-free, swap out the breadcrumbs for gluten-free breadcrumbs or use ground oats as a binder. Ensure the Caesar dressing and buns are gluten-free as well.

If you’re in a rush, store-bought chicken patties can be used instead of homemade ones. Just make sure they are cooked thoroughly according to package instructions.

For a leaner option, you can substitute ground turkey for the chicken in the patties.

The patties can be made ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before cooking.
