Description

A Chicken Caesar Sandwich is a quick and satisfying meal featuring juicy shredded chicken tossed in creamy Caesar dressing, served on a toasted bun with crisp romaine lettuce and Parmesan cheese. It's a handheld twist on the classic Caesar salad, ideal for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie works great)

1/2 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp lemon juice

1/2 tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)

1 tbsp olive oil (for toasting buns)

4 sandwich buns or hoagie rolls

1 cup romaine lettuce, shredded

Extra Caesar dressing and Parmesan for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine shredded chicken, Caesar dressing, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, garlic powder, lemon juice, and chili flakes. Stir until well mixed and the chicken is fully coated.
  2. Slice the sandwich buns and brush the insides with olive oil.
  3. Toast the buns in a pan or under the broiler for 2–3 minutes, until golden and crisp.
  4. Place shredded romaine lettuce on the bottom half of each toasted bun.
  5. Spoon a generous amount of the Caesar chicken mixture onto the lettuce.
  6. Optional: Drizzle with extra Caesar dressing and sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese.
  7. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken to save time.

For a spicy kick, add more chili flakes or use spicy Caesar dressing.

Switch up the greens with arugula or baby spinach for a different flavor.

For extra crunch, top with crispy bacon or crushed croutons.

Use whole wheat or ciabatta buns for a heartier sandwich.

Store the chicken mixture separately from the buns and lettuce to avoid sogginess.
