Description

Juicy, ripe strawberries dipped in smooth, melted chocolate for a quick, elegant, and naturally sweet dessert. Perfect for romantic evenings, holidays, or a simple indulgence.

Ingredients

1 pound fresh strawberries with stems

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)

Optional toppings: crushed nuts, shredded coconut, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, or white chocolate drizzle

Instructions

  1. Rinse the strawberries and gently pat them dry with paper towels. Ensure they are completely dry to prevent chocolate from seizing.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper.
  3. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate and coconut oil (if using). Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until melted and smooth.
  4. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip into the melted chocolate, swirling to coat evenly.
  5. Shake off any excess chocolate and place the dipped strawberry on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. If using toppings, add them immediately before the chocolate hardens.
  7. Repeat with the remaining strawberries.
  8. Chill the strawberries in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes until the chocolate is set.

Notes

Ensure strawberries are completely dry to avoid chocolate seizing.

Use good quality chocolate for best flavor.

Store in an airtight container with a paper towel to absorb moisture.

Do not freeze; freezing alters texture and may crack the chocolate.

Customize with different chocolates and toppings for variety.
