Description

This Cinnamon Sugar Donut Sweet Bread is a decadent, buttery loaf that blends the softness of homemade bread with the delightful cinnamon sugar topping, making it the perfect treat for breakfast, dessert, or an afternoon snack. The sweet, aromatic flavors and fluffy texture make this bread irresistible and perfect for sharing with family and friends.

Ingredients

For the Bread:

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 eggs

1 tbsp vanilla extract

½ cup milk

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

1 tsp ground cinnamon

For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

½ cup granulated sugar

1 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Make the Batter: Cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing well. Stir in milk. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.
  3. Bake the Bread: Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. Coat with Cinnamon Sugar: Brush the cooled bread with melted butter, then sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
  5. Serve & Enjoy: Slice and enjoy warm, paired with coffee or tea.

Notes

You can add nutmeg to the batter for extra flavor.

For variations, try adding cinnamon chips or chocolate chips for a fun twist.

Buttermilk can replace regular milk for a richer flavor.
