Description

Soft, chewy, and packed with bright orange flavor, these creamsicle orange cookies taste just like the classic creamsicle popsicle! Made with a cake mix base, they’re quick, easy, and irresistibly delicious.


Ingredients

1 box (15.25 ounces) white cake mix

1 box (3 ounces) orange jello

2 tablespoons orange zest

8 tablespoons salted butter, softened

2 large eggs, room temperature

11 ounces white chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prep: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the white cake mix, orange jello, and orange zest.
  3. Cream Butter & Eggs: In another bowl, beat the softened butter and eggs until light and fluffy.
  4. Combine Wet & Dry: Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the butter mixture until well combined.
  5. Fold in Chocolate Chips: Stir in white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Shape & Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll them into balls, and place them on the baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Cool & Enjoy: Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Zesting Tip: Use a microplane grater and avoid the bitter white pith for the best citrus flavor.

Soft Cookies: Don’t overbake! They’ll continue setting as they cool.

Sticky Dough Fix: If the dough is too sticky, chill it for 15 minutes before rolling.
