A comforting and creamy Parmesan garlic beef bowtie pasta combining tender ground beef and al dente bowtie pasta in a rich, garlicky Parmesan cream sauce, perfect for quick and hearty weeknight meals.
Ingredients
8 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta
1 lb ground beef
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup heavy cream
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; sauté until fragrant and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream, milk, and grated Parmesan cheese. Simmer gently, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss to coat well with the sauce and beef mixture.
- Adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Optional additions: sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra veggies and texture.
Swap ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.
Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicier dish.
Use garlic powder instead of fresh garlic to save time.
Leftovers store well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Reheat gently on stove with added milk or cream, or microwave covered to prevent drying.
Freezing is best done with sauce and beef separately from pasta.
