Description

A comforting and creamy Parmesan garlic beef bowtie pasta combining tender ground beef and al dente bowtie pasta in a rich, garlicky Parmesan cream sauce, perfect for quick and hearty weeknight meals.

Ingredients

8 oz bowtie (farfalle) pasta

1 lb ground beef

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic; sauté until fragrant and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook until browned and no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Reduce heat to low. Stir in heavy cream, milk, and grated Parmesan cheese. Simmer gently, stirring frequently, until sauce thickens, about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Add cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet and toss to coat well with the sauce and beef mixture.
  6. Adjust seasoning if needed. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Optional additions: sautéed mushrooms or spinach for extra veggies and texture.

Swap ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.

Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicier dish.

Use garlic powder instead of fresh garlic to save time.

Leftovers store well in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Reheat gently on stove with added milk or cream, or microwave covered to prevent drying.

Freezing is best done with sauce and beef separately from pasta.
