Description

Creamy Parmesan Pasta with sautéed garlic butter chicken, delivering a rich and comforting meal ready in about 30 minutes.


Ingredients

12 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/2 cup of the pasta water.
  2. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Season the chicken slices with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and golden, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Let the sauce simmer gently until it thickens, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  5. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet, mixing well to coat it in the creamy sauce. Add the reserved pasta water a little at a time if the sauce needs loosening.
  6. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Variations include swapping chicken for shrimp or adding sautéed mushrooms or spinach.

For a lighter sauce, substitute half of the heavy cream with milk.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge up to 3 days; reheat gently with a splash of milk or cream.

To keep sauce creamy when reheating, avoid microwaving directly without stirring.
