Description

A luscious, creamy cheesecake wrapped in flaky, buttery crescent rolls, baked to golden perfection—this dessert is truly irresistible and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent rolls

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup sour cream

Optional: 1/4 cup fruit preserves or pie filling (such as cherry or strawberry)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch round baking dish or pie plate.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and press it evenly into the bottom and up the sides of the prepared dish, forming a crust.
  3. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, and continue beating until well combined.
  5. Stir in the sour cream until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  6. Pour the cream cheese filling over the crescent crust and spread evenly.
  7. If desired, gently swirl fruit preserves on top of the filling for added flavor.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the filling is set and the crescent crust is golden brown.
  9. Remove from the oven and allow to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving for best results.

Notes

Chilling the cheesecake before serving helps it set properly and makes slicing easier.

You can swirl different fruit preserves like blueberry or raspberry for flavor variations.

Adding cinnamon, lemon zest, heavy cream, or whipped topping to the filling can enhance the taste.

Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days; do not freeze.

Warming leftovers gently in the microwave for 10-15 seconds can soften texture without melting cream cheese.

For gluten-free, try gluten-free crescent roll dough or pie crust alternatives.

Press the crescent dough firmly and bake at correct temperature to avoid soggy crust.
