Description

Fudgy Chewy Brookies combine two beloved desserts: a rich, fudgy brownie base and a chewy, crunchy cookie dough topping. This decadent treat is perfect for any chocolate lover, offering the best of both worlds in one irresistible dessert.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup chocolate chips

1 cup cookie dough (store-bought or homemade)

1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a 9x9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar, stirring until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until fully combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the batter.
  7. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  8. Spoon dollops of cookie dough on top of the brownie batter, pressing it slightly to spread it out.
  9. For an extra chocolatey touch, sprinkle mini chocolate chips over the top (optional).
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out mostly clean, with just a few crumbs.
  11. Let the brookies cool completely in the pan before slicing them into squares.

Notes

Store leftover brookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.

If freezing, place brookies in a single layer on a baking sheet before transferring to a zip-top bag for up to a month.

To reheat, microwave for 10-15 seconds for a fresh-baked feel.
