Description

A juicy grilled chicken sandwich layered with crisp lettuce, ripe tomato, and savory garlic butter on toasted buns. Quick to make, satisfying, and perfect for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

2 garlic cloves, minced

4 sandwich buns, toasted

4 lettuce leaves

4 tomato slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or a grill pan to medium-high heat.
  2. Brush the chicken breasts with olive oil, then season with paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Grill the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Let rest for 5 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic to create garlic butter.
  5. Spread the garlic butter on toasted sandwich buns.
  6. Assemble the sandwich: place a lettuce leaf and tomato slice on the bottom bun, add sliced grilled chicken, and top with the upper bun.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with fries, a salad, or chips.

Notes

Add crispy bacon for extra crunch.

Mix sriracha or hot sauce into the garlic butter for heat.

Swap chicken for grilled tofu or a plant-based patty for a vegetarian version.

Brioche or ciabatta buns add a richer texture and flavor.

Add cheese like provolone or Swiss for extra comfort.

Store leftover chicken separately in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Reheat chicken in a skillet or microwave before assembling sandwiches fresh.
