Description
Garlic steak bites and potatoes are a quick and satisfying one-skillet meal made with juicy sirloin, crispy baby potatoes, and a rich garlic butter sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights or casual dinners, it's packed with steakhouse flavor in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
1 lb baby potatoes, halved
3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add halved baby potatoes cut side down, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Cook the potatoes for 10–12 minutes, flipping occasionally until golden and fork-tender. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
- Place the steak bites in a single layer, season with salt and pepper, and sear undisturbed for about 2 minutes on each side until browned.
- Stir in minced garlic and the remaining tablespoon of butter, sauté for another 1–2 minutes until coated in garlic butter.
- Return the cooked potatoes to the skillet and toss everything together.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
Toss in green beans or asparagus for extra vegetables.
Use ribeye or NY strip instead of sirloin for richer flavor.
Swap Italian seasoning with rosemary or thyme for a different herb profile.
Roast extra garlic cloves and add them for a deeper garlic flavor.
