Description

Garlic steak bites and potatoes are a quick and satisfying one-skillet meal made with juicy sirloin, crispy baby potatoes, and a rich garlic butter sauce. Perfect for busy weeknights or casual dinners, it's packed with steakhouse flavor in just 30 minutes.

Ingredients

1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes

1 lb baby potatoes, halved

3 tablespoons olive oil, divided

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add halved baby potatoes cut side down, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Cook the potatoes for 10–12 minutes, flipping occasionally until golden and fork-tender. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.
  5. Place the steak bites in a single layer, season with salt and pepper, and sear undisturbed for about 2 minutes on each side until browned.
  6. Stir in minced garlic and the remaining tablespoon of butter, sauté for another 1–2 minutes until coated in garlic butter.
  7. Return the cooked potatoes to the skillet and toss everything together.
  8. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Add red pepper flakes or hot sauce for a spicy kick.

Toss in green beans or asparagus for extra vegetables.

Use ribeye or NY strip instead of sirloin for richer flavor.

Swap Italian seasoning with rosemary or thyme for a different herb profile.

Roast extra garlic cloves and add them for a deeper garlic flavor.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Reheat in a skillet to retain texture; avoid freezing.
