Description

A hearty, comforting casserole with ground beef, green beans, and a creamy mushroom sauce, topped with cheddar cheese and crispy fried onions.

Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 can (15 oz) green beans, drained

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup

1/4 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup French fried onions

Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup with the milk, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  4. Add the green beans to the skillet with the cooked beef, then pour the soup mixture over the top. Stir to combine.
  5. Transfer the beef and green bean mixture to a greased 9x9-inch baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the French fried onions over the top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the onions are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!
