Description

Homemade Moose Tracks Ice Cream is the ultimate indulgence, combining creamy vanilla ice cream, rich chocolate fudge, and peanut butter cups, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

2 cups heavy cream

1 cup whole milk

3/4 cup sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup mini peanut butter cups, chopped

1/2 cup chocolate fudge sauce


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Stir in the vanilla extract for flavor.
  3. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (usually for 20-25 minutes until a soft-serve consistency is reached).
  4. During the last few minutes of churning, add in the chopped mini peanut butter cups.
  5. Once churned, transfer the ice cream to an airtight container.
  6. Drizzle the chocolate fudge sauce over the top and gently swirl it through with a spoon or knife.
  7. Freeze the ice cream for at least 4 hours or until firm enough to scoop.

Notes

For variations, you can swap out mini peanut butter cups for other candies like Oreos, mini Reese’s Pieces, or caramel swirls.

A vegan version can be made using coconut or almond milk and dairy-free fudge sauce and peanut butter cups.

For added texture, crushed peanuts, almonds, or hazelnuts can be added.

If the ice cream becomes too hard, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
