Description

These hot honey salmon bites are the perfect combination of tender salmon pieces and a flavorful sweet and spicy honey glaze. The balance of heat and sweetness creates an irresistible bite that is sure to impress.

Ingredients

1 lb salmon, cut into bite-sized pieces

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 cup honey

2 tablespoons hot sauce (such as sriracha)

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon rice vinegar

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place the salmon pieces on the prepared baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Roast the salmon in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flaky.
  4. While the salmon is cooking, prepare the honey glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the honey, hot sauce, soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  5. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly (about 2-3 minutes). Remove from heat.
  6. Once the salmon is done, drizzle the hot honey glaze over the salmon bites.
  7. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

Make it milder: Reduce the amount of hot sauce or opt for a milder variety.

Add citrus: For a fresh twist, add a squeeze of lemon or lime juice to the glaze before drizzling over the salmon.

Gluten-free option: Ensure your hot sauce and soy sauce are gluten-free if necessary.
