Description

A refreshing and naturally sweet mango iced tea made with bold black tea, ripe mango puree, and a splash of fresh lemon juice. Perfectly balanced, fruity, and ideal for warm afternoons.

Ingredients

4 cups water

3 black tea bags

1 1/2 cups ripe mango, peeled and diced

2 tablespoons honey or sugar (adjust to taste)

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1 cup cold water

Ice cubes

Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)

Mango slices (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Bring 4 cups of water to a gentle boil in a medium saucepan.
  2. Remove from heat, add the tea bags, and steep for about 5 minutes depending on desired strength.
  3. While the tea steeps, blend the diced mango with 1 cup of cold water until completely smooth. Strain through a fine mesh sieve if a smoother texture is desired.
  4. Remove the tea bags and stir in honey or sugar while the tea is still warm until fully dissolved.
  5. Add the fresh lemon juice and mango puree to the brewed tea and stir well to combine.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour until chilled.
  7. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the mango iced tea over the ice.
  8. Garnish with fresh mint leaves and mango slices if desired, and serve chilled.

Notes

Green tea can be substituted for black tea for a lighter flavor.

Add a splash of pineapple juice for a stronger tropical twist.

Replace part of the cold water with sparkling water for a fizzy version.

Add thin slices of fresh ginger while steeping for a subtle spicy note.

Store in an airtight pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and stir before serving.
