Description

This Maple Mustard Tahini Dressing is a creamy, tangy, and slightly sweet sauce made with wholesome ingredients like tahini, Dijon mustard, and maple syrup. Perfect for salads, grain bowls, or as a dip, it's vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free.


Ingredients

1/4 cup tahini

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons maple syrup

2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)

2 tablespoons water (plus more to thin, if desired)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste


Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, add tahini, Dijon mustard, maple syrup, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Whisk the ingredients together until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
  3. Gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Taste and adjust the flavor with more lemon juice for tanginess or maple syrup for sweetness.
  5. Store the dressing in an airtight container in the fridge. Stir or shake before each use.

Notes

Add a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar for extra zing.

For a spicy twist, mix in a pinch of cayenne or a splash of hot sauce.

Stir in nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor.

Use lime juice instead of lemon for a different citrus profile.
