Description

A delicious and satisfying wrap featuring seasoned ground beef and creamy nacho cheese sauce wrapped in a warm flour tortilla, perfect for a quick and hearty meal.

Ingredients

1 lb (450g) ground beef

1/2 small onion, finely chopped

1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade blend of chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder)

1/3 cup water

1 cup nacho cheese sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Large flour tortillas or wraps

Optional add-ins: crushed tortilla chips, shredded lettuce, jalapeños, diced tomatoes, sour cream

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with the finely chopped onion. Drain any excess grease.
  2. Season it: Add the taco seasoning and water to the beef mixture. Let it simmer until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
  3. Warm the cheese: Gently heat the nacho cheese sauce in a small saucepan or microwave until smooth and creamy.
  4. Assemble your wrap: Lightly warm the tortilla to make it more pliable. Spoon a line of the seasoned beef down the center of the tortilla, then pour the warm nacho cheese sauce over it. Add any optional toppings like crushed tortilla chips, jalapeños, diced tomatoes, or shredded lettuce.
  5. Wrap it tight: Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll it burrito-style.
  6. Optional step: For an extra tasty touch, sear the wrap in a hot skillet for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.

Notes

For a spicier wrap, add extra jalapeños or hot sauce.

Swap ground beef for ground turkey or chicken for a lighter version.

Use seasoned black beans or sautéed veggies for a vegetarian option.

Use corn or gluten-free tortillas for a gluten-free version.

Add avocado slices or guacamole for extra creaminess.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Reheat in a skillet to keep the wrap crispy or microwave covered with a damp paper towel in short intervals.
