Description

A warm, buttery peach cobbler with fresh peach flavor, baked to golden bubbly perfection. A simple, classic comfort dessert perfect for cozy evenings or gatherings.

Ingredients

½ cup unsalted butter (melted)

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup sugar

1 cup milk

1 ½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp cinnamon (optional)

4 cups fresh peaches, sliced (or 1 can, drained)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Pour the melted butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish, making sure it coats the bottom evenly.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and milk until the batter is smooth.
  3. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
  4. Spread the sliced peaches evenly over the batter. Sprinkle cinnamon on top if using.
  5. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden brown and bubbly around the edges.
  6. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For richer flavor, add 1 tsp vanilla extract to the batter.

Try adding nutmeg or ginger with cinnamon for a spiced twist.

Substitute peaches with apples, berries, or cherries if out of season.

Use canned peaches drained well if fresh are unavailable.

For gluten-free, replace flour with a gluten-free baking blend.

Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator up to 3 days; reheat in oven for best texture.
