Description
A warm, buttery peach cobbler with fresh peach flavor, baked to golden bubbly perfection. A simple, classic comfort dessert perfect for cozy evenings or gatherings.
Ingredients
½ cup unsalted butter (melted)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 ½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
4 cups fresh peaches, sliced (or 1 can, drained)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Pour the melted butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish, making sure it coats the bottom evenly.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and milk until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
- Spread the sliced peaches evenly over the batter. Sprinkle cinnamon on top if using.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the cobbler is golden brown and bubbly around the edges.
- Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream if desired.
Notes
For richer flavor, add 1 tsp vanilla extract to the batter.
Try adding nutmeg or ginger with cinnamon for a spiced twist.
Substitute peaches with apples, berries, or cherries if out of season.
Use canned peaches drained well if fresh are unavailable.
For gluten-free, replace flour with a gluten-free baking blend.
Store leftovers covered in the refrigerator up to 3 days; reheat in oven for best texture.
