Description
A creamy, protein-packed peanut butter frozen yogurt made with Greek yogurt and naturally sweetened with honey or maple syrup, perfect for a refreshing and wholesome dessert.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
1/4 cup milk (any kind, dairy or non-dairy)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- Gradually add the milk, stirring to combine. Add more milk if the mixture is too thick, until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the mixture into a shallow dish or an ice cream maker.
- If using an ice cream maker, churn according to manufacturer's instructions until thick and frozen, about 20-25 minutes.
- If not using an ice cream maker, freeze in the shallow dish for 4-6 hours, stirring every 30 minutes during the first 2 hours to prevent ice crystals and keep creamy.
- Once fully frozen, scoop and serve immediately.
Notes
Can substitute peanut butter with almond butter or sunflower seed butter.
Add chopped peanuts or chocolate chips before freezing for extra texture.
Adjust sweetness by increasing honey or maple syrup or add cocoa powder for a chocolate twist.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
Let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes or microwave 10-15 seconds before serving to soften.
