Ingredients
1 1/2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, peanut butter, maple syrup, applesauce, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in the dark chocolate chips if using.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press it down evenly with a spatula.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, until edges are golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
