Description

Pecan Pie Dump Cake is a simple and indulgent dessert combining the rich flavors of pecan pie with the ease of a dump cake, making it perfect for a quick, comforting treat.

Ingredients

1 box yellow cake mix

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup pecans, chopped

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1 cup corn syrup

3 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the bottom of the prepared dish.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix, spreading it out evenly.
  5. In a medium bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, vanilla, and salt.
  6. Pour the sugar mixture over the cake mix and butter layer.
  7. Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the top.
  8. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
  9. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For variations, you can add walnuts or almonds for added crunch, or chocolate chips for a chocolatey twist.

To make it vegan, substitute the butter with a vegan alternative and use flax eggs.

If making ahead of time, you can refrigerate the prepared cake before baking or bake it ahead and reheat it when needed.
