Description

This Quick Cheesy Chicken Wrap is a delicious, easy-to-make meal featuring juicy, seasoned chicken, melted cheddar cheese, and fresh veggies wrapped in a warm tortilla. Perfect for lunch or dinner.


Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

4 large flour tortillas

1/4 cup sour cream

1/4 cup salsa

1/4 cup lettuce, shredded

1/4 cup diced tomatoes

1/4 cup chopped cilantro (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add olive oil.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cook the chicken breasts in the skillet for 5-7 minutes per side, or until fully cooked, ensuring the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it into thin strips.
  5. Place a tortilla on a flat surface and spread a thin layer of sour cream and salsa in the center.
  6. Layer the tortilla with slices of chicken, shredded cheese, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and cilantro (if using).
  7. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling and roll it up tightly into a wrap.
  8. Optionally, toast the wrap in the skillet for 1-2 minutes per side to melt the cheese and crisp the tortilla.

Notes

To make it spicy, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the salsa.

For a vegetarian option, substitute grilled veggies for the chicken.

Different cheeses like Monterey Jack or pepper jack can be used for variety.

Avocado slices can be added for extra flavor and richness.
