Description

A rich and tender salmon fillet paired with a tangy, creamy lemon sauce. Perfect for any occasion, this dish combines the flavors of fresh lemon, garlic, and butter with seared salmon for a delightful meal.

Ingredients

4 salmon fillets

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon butter

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup chicken broth

2 tablespoons lemon juice

1 tablespoon lemon zest

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Once the skillet is hot, add the salmon fillets and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  6. Add the heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest to the skillet. Stir well and simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  7. Return the salmon fillets to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the top, and cook for an additional 2 minutes to warm the salmon through.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Leftover salmon with lemon cream sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Reheat gently on the stovetop over low heat to avoid overcooking the salmon.

For a dairy-free version, substitute heavy cream with coconut milk or a dairy-free cream alternative.

For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes or chopped fresh chili to the sauce.

Make the sauce ahead of time and store in the fridge if desired; reheat gently before serving.
