Description

These Spinach Feta Turkey Burgers are a healthy twist on the classic burger, featuring lean turkey, fresh spinach, and tangy feta cheese for a flavorful, satisfying meal.

Ingredients

1 lb ground turkey

1/2 cup spinach, chopped

1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 clove garlic, minced

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, chopped spinach, crumbled feta, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix everything until well combined. Be careful not to overmix to keep the burgers tender.
  3. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and form each portion into a patty.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the burgers for 5-6 minutes on each side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C), and the burgers are golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Serve the burgers on whole wheat buns or lettuce wraps for a lighter option.

Notes

Can substitute ground chicken for turkey if preferred.

To make the recipe gluten-free, use gluten-free breadcrumbs or almond meal.

Can grill instead of cooking in a skillet for a different flavor.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.

Reheat by skillet or microwave for leftovers.
