Description
These Strawberry Cheesecake Cinnabon Rolls combine the soft, comforting texture of cinnamon rolls with the sweet, creamy flavor of strawberry cheesecake. Topped with fresh strawberries, a creamy cheesecake filling, and a bit of graham cracker crunch, they make the perfect breakfast or dessert treat.
Ingredients
1 can (12 oz) refrigerated cinnamon rolls (with icing)
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup fresh strawberries, chopped
1 tablespoon strawberry jam or preserves
1/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 tablespoon butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a round baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Roll out the cinnamon rolls in the prepared baking dish, leaving the icing packet aside for later.
- In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cinnamon rolls, making sure it covers the surface.
- In a small bowl, mix the chopped strawberries and strawberry jam together. Spoon this mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Sprinkle graham cracker crumbs over the strawberry mixture to add a bit of crunch.
- Drizzle melted butter over the top of the rolls to enhance the flavor and help with browning.
- Bake the cinnamon rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- Once out of the oven, drizzle the icing packet over the rolls while they are still warm for extra sweetness.
Notes
Berry Variety: Swap out the strawberries for other berries like raspberries or blueberries for a different fruity twist.
Nutty Crunch: Add chopped nuts like pecans or walnuts to the graham cracker crumb topping for extra texture and flavor.
Dairy-Free: Use a dairy-free cream cheese alternative and ensure the cinnamon rolls are dairy-free for a dairy-free version of this treat.
Chocolate Drizzle: Add a drizzle of chocolate sauce over the top for a more indulgent dessert.
If you don't have fresh strawberries, you can use frozen strawberries or strawberry preserves. Be sure to drain any excess liquid from frozen berries before using.
