Description
Sweet cinnamon air fryer banana chips are a healthy, crunchy snack made with ripe bananas, coconut oil, and cinnamon. They're easy to make, naturally sweet, and perfect for on-the-go munching.
Ingredients
3 ripe bananas
1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Optional: 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
Instructions
- Peel the bananas and slice them into thin, even rounds.
- In a bowl, mix melted coconut oil and ground cinnamon. Stir in honey or maple syrup if using.
- Toss the banana slices in the cinnamon mixture until fully coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (180°C).
- Arrange banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overlap.
- Air fry for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
- Let the chips cool completely before serving or storing—they will crisp up more as they cool.
Notes
Use bananas that are ripe but not overly soft for best results.
Optional spices like nutmeg or pumpkin spice can be added for variation.
Store cooled chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4–5 days.
Reheat in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes if they lose crispiness.
For a sweet-salty flavor, add a pinch of sea salt to the cinnamon mix.
Drizzle with melted dark chocolate after cooling for a dessert twist.
