Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
Instructions
- Spread the softened butter evenly over both flour tortillas, reaching all the way to the edges.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning evenly over one tortilla.
- Place the second tortilla on top to form a sandwich.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the tortilla stack in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry for 4 to 6 minutes, or until the tortillas are golden brown, crispy, and the cheese is fully melted.
- Carefully remove from the air fryer and garnish with chopped fresh parsley, if desired.
- Slice into wedges and serve immediately with marinara sauce, salsa, or your favorite dipping sauce.
Notes
Substitute mozzarella with cheddar, Monterey Jack, Parmesan, or an Italian cheese blend.
Add minced fresh garlic for a stronger garlic flavor.
Sprinkle grated Parmesan on top before cooking for extra crispness.
Add red pepper flakes, pepperoni or sliced jalapeños for variations.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 2 to 3 minutes to restore crispness.
Olive oil can be used instead of butter if preferred.
