Description

These Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars are a rich, no-bake dessert with creamy peanut butter layered between smooth chocolate. They are simple to make and taste like a homemade candy bar.

Ingredients

4 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided

1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. Melt 2 cups of chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Spread the melted chocolate evenly in the prepared pan and let it set slightly.
  4. In a bowl, mix peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Spread the peanut butter mixture evenly over the chocolate layer.
  6. Melt the remaining 2 cups of chocolate chips in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
  7. Pour and spread the melted chocolate over the peanut butter layer.
  8. Refrigerate or let sit until fully set, then slice into bars and serve.

Notes

Use milk or dark chocolate for variation.

Add a pinch of sea salt for a sweet-salty balance.

Mix in crushed peanuts or crispy rice cereal for added texture.

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for several days.

Freeze for longer storage with parchment between layers.

Let sit at room temperature briefly before slicing to prevent cracking.
