Description
A fresh and naturally sweet fruit salad featuring crisp apples, juicy grapes, toasted nuts, and a warm cinnamon-honey dressing. Perfect as a light side dish, healthy snack, or simple dessert.
Ingredients
3 medium apples, diced
2 cups red grapes, halved
1 cup pecans or walnuts, toasted and chopped
3 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Toast the pecans or walnuts in a dry skillet over medium heat for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring frequently until fragrant. Let cool, then chop.
- Dice the apples and halve the grapes. Place them in a large mixing bowl and toss with the fresh lemon juice to help prevent the apples from browning.
- Whisk together the honey, ground cinnamon, and sea salt in a small bowl until smooth.
- Pour the cinnamon-honey dressing over the fruit, add the toasted nuts, and gently toss until everything is evenly coated.
- Serve immediately for the freshest texture or chill for up to 2 hours before serving.
Notes
Use Honeycrisp, Gala, Fuji, or Pink Lady apples for the best texture.
Substitute green grapes or use a mix of red and green grapes if desired.
Replace honey with maple syrup or agave nectar for a vegan version.
Add dried cranberries, raisins, pears, or different toasted nuts for variety.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
Add the toasted nuts just before serving if making ahead to keep them crunchy.
