Description

Fireworks Blondies are soft, chewy dessert bars packed with colorful red, white, and blue M&M's and festive sprinkles. They are easy to make, rich with brown sugar flavor, and perfect for summer celebrations and parties.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups packed brown sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups red, white, and blue M&M's

1/2 cup patriotic sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper or foil and lightly coat with cooking spray.
  2. Beat the softened butter and brown sugar together until crumbly.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, then mix until smooth.
  4. Stir in the salt and baking powder.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour until a thick batter forms.
  6. Fold in the M&M's and patriotic sprinkles until evenly distributed.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan, smoothing the top if needed.
  8. Sprinkle a few extra M&M's over the top.
  9. Bake for 22–25 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden and the center is just set.
  10. Cool completely before slicing into bars and serving.

Notes

Swap the patriotic M&M's for seasonal colors to suit any holiday.

Add white chocolate chips for extra sweetness.

Mix in chopped pecans or walnuts for added crunch.

Use almond extract instead of vanilla for a different flavor.

Drizzle melted white chocolate over cooled bars for a decorative finish.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

Warm for 10–15 seconds in the microwave before serving if desired.
