Ingredients
2 tbsp softened butter
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
4 slices thick white bread
4 slices mozzarella cheese
4 slices cheddar cheese
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic powder, and chopped parsley until well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter evenly over one side of each slice of bread.
- Place two slices of bread butter-side down in a skillet over medium heat.
- Layer the mozzarella, cheddar, and grated Parmesan evenly over each slice.
- Top with the remaining bread slices, butter-side facing up.
- Cook for 3-4 minutes per side, pressing gently with a spatula, until the bread is golden brown and crispy and the cheese is fully melted.
- Slice in half and serve immediately while warm.
Notes
Add cooked bacon for a smoky flavor.
Substitute sourdough, Texas toast, brioche, or whole wheat bread if desired.
Try provolone, Monterey Jack, Swiss, or Gouda for different cheese combinations.
