Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
2 eggs, beaten
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow dish, combine the Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, then coat it evenly with the Parmesan breadcrumb mixture.
- Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
- Add the chicken breasts and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F/75°C).
- While the chicken bakes, prepare the creamy garlic sauce: In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
- Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-5 minutes, until the sauce thickens.
- Season the sauce with salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using).
- Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the oven and drizzle the creamy garlic sauce over the top.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
