A vibrant, nutrient-rich green juice that I love making when I want a clean, energizing boost. This Refreshing Homemade Green Juice is packed with hydrating fruits and vegetables like cucumber, celery, green apple, and spinach, making it the perfect way to start the day or recover after a workout. Whether I’m in need of a gentle detox or just want to fuel my body with wholesome ingredients, this homemade green juice never disappoints.

Refreshing Homemade Green Juice

Ingredients

(Tip: You'll find the full list of ingredients and measurements in the recipe card below.)

1 large cucumber, chopped

4 celery stalks, chopped

1 green apple, cored and chopped

½ lemon, peeled

1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled

1 cup spinach leaves

½ cup fresh parsley

½ cup water (optional, for blending)

Directions

I start by washing and preparing all the fruits and vegetables.

When I use a juicer, I add each ingredient one at a time and let it process until smooth.

If I’m using a blender, I combine everything (including the water) and blend on high until the mixture is smooth.

Then I pour the mixture through a fine-mesh strainer, nut milk bag, or cheesecloth to separate the juice from the pulp.

I serve it immediately over ice or store it in the refrigerator in a sealed glass jar.

Variations

Sometimes I like to switch things up depending on what I have available. I’ll add a handful of kale instead of spinach, or swap parsley for mint for a slightly sweeter flavor. If I want it a bit sweeter, I’ll add half a pear or another apple. I also occasionally throw in a few slices of pineapple or cucumber for a tropical twist.

Storage/Reheating

I store the juice in a tightly sealed glass jar or bottle in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Since this juice is raw and fresh, I don’t reheat it—it’s best enjoyed cold. If it separates, I give it a quick shake before drinking.

FAQs

How long does homemade green juice last in the fridge?

I keep mine in an airtight container for up to 2 days. It’s best consumed fresh to get the most nutrients.

Can I make this juice without a juicer?

Yes, I often use a blender. I just blend everything until smooth and strain it to get a juice-like consistency.

Is it okay to drink green juice every day?

I enjoy it as part of a balanced diet. It’s a great way to add more veggies, but I make sure to eat whole fruits and vegetables too.

Can I freeze green juice?

I don’t usually freeze it because it can change the taste and texture, but if I must, I freeze it in ice cube trays and use them in smoothies.

What’s the best time to drink green juice?

I like to drink it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach to absorb the nutrients quickly, but it also works as a midday refresher.

Conclusion

This Refreshing Homemade Green Juice is one of my favorite go-to drinks when I need a reset or just want something light and revitalizing. It’s quick, customizable, and filled with ingredients that support my overall wellness. Whether I’m juicing for energy, hydration, or a mini detox, this green juice is always a satisfying choice.
