If you're craving a pizza that’s quick, easy, and full of flavor, this Savory Pizza Combo with Simple Ingredients is the perfect dish. With basic ingredients that are likely already in your pantry or fridge, you can make a delicious pizza in no time. Whether you're in the mood for a comforting dinner or need to whip up a family-friendly meal, this pizza will hit the spot.

Savory Pizza Combo with Simple Ingredients

Ingredients

(Tip: You'll find the full list of ingredients and measurements in the recipe card below.)

1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

½ cup pizza sauce

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

¼ cup sliced pepperoni

¼ cup sliced red onions

¼ cup black olives, sliced

¼ cup bell pepper, thinly sliced

½ teaspoon dried oregano

½ teaspoon garlic powder

Olive oil (for brushing the crust)

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C).

Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.

Transfer the dough onto a greased baking sheet or pizza stone.

Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.

Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce.

Add the pepperoni, red onions, olives, and bell peppers evenly over the cheese.

Sprinkle dried oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper over the top of the pizza.

Brush the crust with olive oil for extra flavor and a golden finish.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes before slicing and serving.

Variations

While this recipe is delicious as is, I love to mix things up sometimes! Here are a few variations I’ve tried:

Veggie Delight: Swap the pepperoni for more vegetables like mushrooms, spinach, or zucchini.

Spicy Kick: Add some sliced jalapeños or red pepper flakes to bring some heat to the pizza.

Meat Lovers: Add sausage or bacon for a heartier, meatier pizza.

Cheese Lovers: Double the amount of mozzarella or even add some Parmesan or cheddar for a cheesy twist.

Storage/Reheating

I always keep leftover pizza in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. When I’m ready to enjoy the leftovers, I like to reheat it in the oven at 375°F for 5-7 minutes to crisp up the crust again. Alternatively, I’ll reheat individual slices in a skillet over medium heat for a couple of minutes, which helps keep the bottom crispy.

FAQs

Can I use a different type of cheese?

Absolutely! While mozzarella is my go-to for pizza, you can use any cheese you like, such as cheddar, provolone, or even a blend of different cheeses for more flavor.

Can I make this pizza ahead of time?

Yes, you can prepare the pizza in advance and store it in the fridge. I recommend assembling the pizza, covering it with plastic wrap, and refrigerating it for up to 24 hours. Just bake it when you’re ready to enjoy it!

How can I make this pizza gluten-free?

If you prefer gluten-free pizza, simply swap out the regular pizza dough for a gluten-free version. Many grocery stores carry pre-made gluten-free dough, or you can make your own!

Can I freeze this pizza?

Yes! You can freeze the pizza either before or after baking. If freezing before baking, assemble the pizza, wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and aluminum foil, and freeze for up to 2-3 months. When ready to bake, you can cook it straight from the freezer—just add a few extra minutes to the baking time.

What can I use instead of pizza sauce?

If you don’t have pizza sauce, I sometimes use marinara sauce, pesto, or even a simple olive oil and garlic base. Each option gives the pizza a different flavor, but they all work great!

Conclusion

This Savory Pizza Combo is one of my go-to meals when I’m craving something comforting, quick, and flavorful. With simple ingredients, minimal prep time, and a delicious end result, it’s perfect for any night of the week. Whether I’m feeding a family or just treating myself, this pizza always hits the mark!
