Ingredients
12 ounces sushi-grade ahi tuna
1 tablespoon soy sauce
3 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon neutral oil
4 cups mixed greens
1 cup sliced cucumber
1 cup shredded carrots
1 cup shelled edamame
1/2 cup sliced radishes
1 avocado, sliced
1/4 cup chopped cilantro
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
1 tablespoon honey
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1 teaspoon miso paste
Instructions
- Whisk together the rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, honey, grated ginger, and miso paste until smooth.
- Brush the ahi tuna with soy sauce, then coat evenly with the sesame seeds, garlic powder, sugar, salt, and black pepper.
- Heat the neutral oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the tuna for about 1 minute per side, leaving the center rare.
- Transfer the tuna to a cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing into thin strips.
- Toss the mixed greens, cucumber, carrots, edamame, radishes, avocado, and cilantro with the prepared dressing.
- Divide the salad among serving plates, top with the sliced seared tuna, and serve immediately.
