Description

A refreshing summer drink duo featuring bright strawberry sweet tea and smooth peach sweet tea, perfect for parties or make-ahead chilling.

Ingredients

3 cups strawberries, washed, stems removed, sliced

2 cups water

1 cup sugar

3 cups boiling water

3 family-sized Lipton original tea bags

1 cup sugar

8 cups cold water

1 lemon, juiced

1 lemon, sliced for garnish

6 to 8 strawberries for garnish

Ice

5 cups water, divided

1 family-size tea bag or 3 regular tea bags

3/4 cup sugar

3/4 cup honey

2 cups frozen peaches, thawed and pureed

2 cups frozen peaches for serving

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sliced strawberries, 2 cups water, and 1 cup sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Strain and let the syrup cool.
  2. Steep 3 tea bags in 3 cups boiling water for 5 to 7 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in 1 cup sugar until dissolved.
  3. Add 8 cups cold water and lemon juice. Stir in strawberry syrup to taste. Chill and serve over ice with lemon slices and fresh strawberries.
  4. For peach tea, bring part of the 5 cups water to a boil and steep tea bag(s) for 5 to 7 minutes. Remove tea bag(s) and stir in 3/4 cup sugar and 3/4 cup honey until dissolved.
  5. Add remaining water and peach puree. Mix well and chill.
  6. Serve peach tea over ice with frozen peach slices.

Notes

Use raspberries instead of strawberries for a different berry flavor.

Fresh peaches can replace frozen; peel and puree before using.

Adjust sugar and honey to control sweetness.

Add mint leaves for a refreshing twist.

Store in covered pitchers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and stir before serving.
