Description
A refreshing summer drink duo featuring bright strawberry sweet tea and smooth peach sweet tea, perfect for parties or make-ahead chilling.
Ingredients
3 cups strawberries, washed, stems removed, sliced
2 cups water
1 cup sugar
3 cups boiling water
3 family-sized Lipton original tea bags
1 cup sugar
8 cups cold water
1 lemon, juiced
1 lemon, sliced for garnish
6 to 8 strawberries for garnish
Ice
5 cups water, divided
1 family-size tea bag or 3 regular tea bags
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup honey
2 cups frozen peaches, thawed and pureed
2 cups frozen peaches for serving
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sliced strawberries, 2 cups water, and 1 cup sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. Strain and let the syrup cool.
- Steep 3 tea bags in 3 cups boiling water for 5 to 7 minutes. Remove tea bags and stir in 1 cup sugar until dissolved.
- Add 8 cups cold water and lemon juice. Stir in strawberry syrup to taste. Chill and serve over ice with lemon slices and fresh strawberries.
- For peach tea, bring part of the 5 cups water to a boil and steep tea bag(s) for 5 to 7 minutes. Remove tea bag(s) and stir in 3/4 cup sugar and 3/4 cup honey until dissolved.
- Add remaining water and peach puree. Mix well and chill.
- Serve peach tea over ice with frozen peach slices.
Notes
Use raspberries instead of strawberries for a different berry flavor.
Fresh peaches can replace frozen; peel and puree before using.
Adjust sugar and honey to control sweetness.
Add mint leaves for a refreshing twist.
Store in covered pitchers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and stir before serving.
