Description

Strawberry Yum Yum is a classic Southern no-bake layered dessert featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, a light and creamy cream cheese filling, sweet strawberry pie filling, and fresh strawberries. It's refreshing, easy to prepare ahead, and perfect for gatherings or warm-weather occasions.


Ingredients

3/4 cup butter, melted

3 cups graham cracker crumbs

2 envelopes Dream Whip

1 cup cold milk

1/2 cup sugar

1 can strawberry pie filling

2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

Pinch of salt


Instructions

  1. Mix the melted butter with the graham cracker crumbs until evenly combined.
  2. Press about three-quarters of the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form the crust.
  3. Beat the Dream Whip with the cold milk until stiff peaks form.
  4. Add the softened cream cheese, sugar, and a pinch of salt, then beat until smooth and creamy.
  5. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust.
  6. Spoon the strawberry pie filling over the cream cheese layer, then evenly distribute the sliced fresh strawberries.
  7. Carefully spread the remaining cream cheese mixture over the strawberry layer.
  8. Sprinkle the reserved graham cracker crumb mixture over the top.
  9. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before slicing and serving.

Notes

Substitute blueberry, cherry, raspberry, or peach pie filling for a different flavor.

Use crushed vanilla wafers or Golden Oreos instead of graham crackers for the crust.

Fold chopped fresh strawberries into the cream cheese mixture for extra fruit.

Add a layer of whipped topping for an even lighter texture.

Garnish with fresh strawberries or white chocolate shavings before serving.

Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.

Freeze individual portions for up to 2 months and thaw overnight in the refrigerator before serving.

Serve chilled; do not reheat.
