This Zesty Party Pasta Salad is one of my favorite cold pasta dishes when I want something bold, colorful, and packed with flavor. I mix tender spaghetti noodles with crisp vegetables, savory meats, cheese, and a tangy seasoned dressing that makes every bite satisfying. I love serving it at gatherings, potlucks, or even as a quick lunch because it comes together easily and tastes even better after chilling.

Zesty Party Pasta Salad

Ingredients

(Tip: You'll find the full list of ingredients and measurements in the recipe card below.)

½ pound spaghetti noodles

1 green bell pepper, diced

½ red onion, finely chopped

½ English cucumber, diced

2 Roma tomatoes, diced

Handful of beef pepperoni, chopped

1 pack cooked chicken cubes

½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese

⅓ packet ranch seasoning

2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning

2 teaspoons Salad Supreme seasoning

Italian dressing, to taste

Directions

I cook the spaghetti noodles according to the package instructions until they are al dente. Then I drain and rinse them with cold water to cool completely.

In a large mixing bowl, I combine the cooled pasta with diced green bell pepper, chopped red onion, cucumber, and tomatoes.

I add the chopped beef pepperoni, cooked chicken cubes, shredded cheddar cheese, and Parmesan cheese.

I sprinkle in the ranch seasoning, Cajun seasoning, and Salad Supreme seasoning for a bold flavor boost.

I slowly pour in the Italian dressing while tossing everything together until the salad reaches my preferred consistency.

I mix thoroughly so all the ingredients are evenly coated with the seasonings and dressing.

I cover the bowl and refrigerate the pasta salad for at least 1 hour before serving so the flavors can fully blend together.

Variations

I sometimes swap spaghetti noodles for rotini or bowtie pasta for a different texture. When I want extra heat, I add sliced jalapeños or more Cajun seasoning. I also enjoy mixing in black olives, banana peppers for additional flavor. For a lighter version, I use turkey pepperoni and reduced-fat cheese. If I want a vegetarian option, I simply leave out the meat and add extra vegetables.

Storage/Reheating

I store this pasta salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Before serving leftovers, I like to stir in a little extra Italian dressing because the pasta tends to absorb some of the moisture while chilling. I usually enjoy this salad cold, so reheating is not necessary.

FAQs

Can I make this pasta salad ahead of time?

Yes, I actually prefer making it a few hours ahead because the flavors become even better after chilling in the refrigerator.

What type of Italian dressing works best?

I like using a zesty Italian dressing because it adds extra flavor, but any favorite bottled Italian dressing works well.

Can I use another type of pasta?

Yes, I often use rotini, penne, or bowtie pasta when I want a different texture or presentation.

How can I make this recipe spicier?

I usually add extra Cajun seasoning, crushed red pepper flakes, or diced jalapeños for more heat.

Can I freeze pasta salad?

I do not recommend freezing it because the vegetables and pasta can become watery and lose their texture after thawing.

Conclusion

This Zesty Party Pasta Salad is a flavorful and satisfying dish that always disappears quickly whenever I serve it. I love the combination of crunchy vegetables, savory meats, creamy cheese, and bold seasonings tossed together in a tangy dressing. Whether I prepare it for a party, potluck, or quick family meal, it always delivers fresh flavor and comforting texture in every bite.
