These no-bake blueberry cheesecake protein bites are a perfect balance of creamy cheesecake flavor and a burst of fruity goodness. They are packed with protein, making them an excellent snack choice to fuel up while satisfying my sweet cravings. Whether I'm in need of a quick snack after a workout or a delicious mid-day treat, these protein bites are my go-to. They're not only healthy but also incredibly easy to make.

Blueberry Cheesecake Protein Bites

Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats

½ cup vanilla protein powder

½ cup Greek yogurt

¼ cup almond butter

¼ cup dried blueberries

1 tablespoon honey

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

¼ teaspoon cinnamon

Pinch of salt

(Tip: You'll find the full list of ingredients and measurements in the recipe card below.)

Directions

In a large mixing bowl, I combine the rolled oats, protein powder, cinnamon, and salt. This creates the dry mixture that will hold everything together.

Next, I add the Greek yogurt, almond butter, honey, and vanilla extract. I mix everything thoroughly until it’s well incorporated.

Gently, I fold in the dried blueberries. I make sure to not break them apart too much as they give that delightful burst of flavor in every bite.

Using my hands, I roll the mixture into small bite-sized balls, about 1 inch in diameter.

I place the protein bites on a parchment-lined baking sheet and refrigerate them for at least 30 minutes to allow them to set.

Once set, I store the protein bites in an airtight container in the fridge, where they’ll stay fresh for up to a week.

Variations

Add-ins: For a different twist, I sometimes add in other dried fruits like cranberries or raisins. If I’m craving a bit more crunch, I also toss in some chopped nuts like almonds or walnuts.

Sweeteners: If I prefer a less sweet version, I can reduce the amount of honey or substitute it with a natural sweetener like stevia or maple syrup.

Flavor Variations: While I love the blueberry cheesecake flavor, I can also try using other protein powders like chocolate or strawberry for a different taste. Adding some mini chocolate chips or a swirl of peanut butter can create new, exciting flavor profiles too.

Storage/Reheating

I store the protein bites in an airtight container in the fridge. They stay fresh for up to a week, so I can enjoy them throughout the week. Since they’re no-bake, there’s no need for reheating. I simply take one out whenever I need a quick snack.

FAQs

How long do blueberry cheesecake protein bites last in the fridge?

I can store them in the fridge for up to a week in an airtight container.

Can I freeze these protein bites?

Yes! If I want to store them for a longer period, I can freeze the protein bites. Just place them in an airtight container or freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months. When I'm ready to eat them, I let them thaw in the fridge overnight.

Can I use fresh blueberries instead of dried ones?

I prefer using dried blueberries because they hold up better in the mixture, but fresh blueberries can be used. If I do, I make sure to be gentle when mixing them in to prevent them from bursting and making the mixture too wet.

How many calories are in one protein bite?

Each protein bite contains around 120 kcal, which makes it a great low-calorie snack option.

Can I make these protein bites without protein powder?

Yes, if I don’t have protein powder, I can substitute it with ground flaxseed or chia seeds for a bit of extra fiber, but the protein content will be lower. Alternatively, I can just add extra oats or nuts to keep the texture intact.

Conclusion

These Blueberry Cheesecake Protein Bites are one of my favorite go-to snacks because they’re not only healthy but also incredibly satisfying. The balance of protein, healthy fats, and delicious blueberry flavor makes them a perfect snack for any time of the day. Whether I’m in need of a post-workout treat or a quick snack, these protein bites always hit the spot.
