Description

Soft, fluffy, and wonderfully tender, these Melt-in-Your-Mouth Biscuits come together quickly with Greek yogurt and self-rising flour. Perfect for breakfast, snacks, or as a comforting side dish.

Ingredients

1 cup self-rising flour

3/4 cup Greek yogurt

Melted butter, for brushing

Fresh herbs, optional

Shredded cheese, optional

Honey or jam, for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the self-rising flour and Greek yogurt until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and gently knead for about 30 seconds.
  4. Pat the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
  5. Cut out biscuits using a biscuit cutter or drinking glass.
  6. Place the biscuits on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the tops are lightly golden.
  8. Brush the warm biscuits with melted butter.
  9. Serve with honey, jam, or alongside savory dishes.

Notes

Add shredded cheddar cheese for a cheesy variation.

Mix in chopped rosemary, parsley, or chives for extra flavor.

Brush with garlic butter after baking for a savory twist.

Serve with cinnamon honey butter for a sweeter option.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days.

Freeze baked biscuits for up to 3 months and thaw before reheating.

Reheat in a 350°F oven for 5 minutes or microwave for 10–15 seconds.
