Description

These Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are soft, cheesy, and packed with tender steak, peppers, onions, and melted provolone on buttery Hawaiian rolls. They are perfect for parties, game days, family dinners, or an easy crowd-pleasing meal.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 pound thinly sliced steak meat, chopped

1 green pepper, thinly sliced

1/2 cup white onion, sliced

1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme, minced

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 package Hawaiian rolls, 12 rolls

12 slices provolone or Swiss cheese

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1/2 teaspoon soy sauce

1/2 teaspoon brown sugar

1 tablespoon minced parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the steak, green pepper, onion, and thyme. Cook until the steak is no longer pink and the vegetables are tender.
  2. Stir in the garlic powder, salt, pepper, and 1 tablespoon soy sauce. Cook for 1 more minute, then remove from the heat.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly spray a baking dish with cooking spray.
  4. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally while keeping the rolls attached. Place the bottom half into the prepared baking dish.
  5. Spoon the steak mixture evenly over the rolls and layer the cheese slices on top.
  6. Place the top half of the rolls back over the cheese.
  7. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce, and brown sugar. Brush the mixture over the tops of the rolls and sprinkle with half of the parsley.
  8. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until the tops are golden and the cheese is melted.
  9. Remove the sliders from the oven, sprinkle with the remaining parsley, and serve warm.

Notes

Swiss cheese can be used instead of provolone for a nuttier flavor.

Add mushrooms or colorful bell peppers for extra flavor and texture.

Spread a thin layer of mayo or garlic butter on the rolls before assembling for added richness.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat in a 325°F oven for best texture and melted cheese.
