Description

Crispy, cheesy bites packed with jalapeños and smoky spices, fried to golden perfection. These bold and flavorful snacks are perfect for sharing with your favorite dipping sauces.


Ingredients

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup diced jalapeños

1/4 cup diced green onions

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp chili powder

1/2 tsp smoked paprika

1 cup crushed tortilla chips or breadcrumbs

1 egg, beaten

Oil for frying


Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine mozzarella cheese, cream cheese, jalapeños, green onions, garlic powder, chili powder, and smoked paprika until fully blended.
  2. Scoop small portions of the mixture and roll into bite-sized balls.
  3. Dip each ball into the beaten egg, then coat evenly with crushed tortilla chips or breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the bites for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve warm with spicy ranch or chipotle mayo.

Notes

Use pepper jack cheese instead of mozzarella for extra heat.

Swap tortilla chips with panko breadcrumbs for a lighter texture.

Reduce jalapeños or remove seeds for a milder version.
